Reel McCoy 8/9-8/10 reports
« on: August 12, 2014, 10:06:01 AM »
Saturday:  Had a few hours in the morning to fish with my daughter who was visiting from PA.  Tried Scotland, fisherman's bouy and beyond.  We worked the jigs hard and only ended up with one keeper (18.5") and five shorts.  Packed it in at noon.

Sunday:  My son was not feeling well so I decided to head out solo and give it one more shot.  While at the dock I was able to catch a few snappers for bait along with 2 14" fluke that hit the small kastmaster, fun on the snapper rod.  While running through SH Bay the boat his something pulls to the right and the engine stalls.  I see something that looks like a body floating away off the stern.  I raise the engine to find my prop is wrapped in a piece of black plastic tarp  rgmn  Back under way after a half hour of cutting, tugging and cussin.  Fished the FG and the mud and managed 3 keepers out of 28 fish.  Largest went 5.25.  Light bucktails were the ticket on Sunday.

Sorry for the late report but I have been contemplating taking up another hobby  ;D
