Conditions At-A-Glance

Another mixed weekend with unsettled weather and water conditions. Saturday day looks to be dry and sunny with clouds building in later in the day bringing chances of isolated to scattered showers for Saturday Night. Sunday will have chances of scattered thunderstorms during the day lingering into Sunday Night. High temperatures will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s with overnight lows in the 50’s and 60’s. Water conditions will be good on Saturday, barring any thunderstorms moving over marine waters. Sunday, in addition to the thunderstorm threat, winds will be gustier around 10-15 knots with gusts to 20 knots possible. Seas could build to 4 feet. Conditions will be borderline to cautious on Sunday and Sunday Night for ocean waters. Surf and beach conditions will be good, however thunderstorm threats will be present and winds could be gusty on Sunday. Surf should remain normal, with wave heights 1-3 feet with a 1-2 foot swell. Rip Current Risk will be Low. Water temperatures are in the upper 60’s to upper 70’s still. UV Index will be High to Very High at 7-8/15.

A weakening frontal boundary will move across the area on Thursday Night. High pressure will settle across the Mid Atlantic through Friday and Friday Night, before weakening to the south on Saturday. A cold front will move through the area on Sunday, before stalling to the south on Monday. The front may try and lift back northward, as an area of low pressure moves along the boundary and near the area on Monday Night into Tuesday Night.

Next week will be mixed. Weather will have rain and thunderstorms chances on and off all week. High temperatures will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s, maybe some 50’s across the north. Water, surf and beach conditions will be mixed as well. Good conditions on Monday and Cautious conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday, maybe even Thursday, then back to good for the end of the week.

The Atlantic Tropics are quiet. The Pacific has another active hurricane.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
