What will you be fishing for? Blue fish, doesn't really make that much of a difference with the direction, speed would be more of a concern.

Fluke, the past week has been a lot of south wind and my guys have been catching pretty good, in fact, better than any other wind the whole season. Again, wind speed would be more of a concern.

Seabass...CLOSED

Striped bass...not enough around for them to be targeted.

What I am saying is, be more concerned with the speed of the wind than the direction at this time. If it's fishable, GO FISH.

and be prepared not to be pissed when either/or/all of the below happens

a) they blow the forecast
b) the flukin' sucks
c) the flukin' doesn't suck but the keepin does

really, if you must bring home fish dinner, then just go to Shop Rite.

trust me, you will have much more fun if you stop worrying about the wind direction or the cost or the results and just enjoy being in the 0.05% of the people not on land.
