Another unsettled weekend, very similar to last weekend. The upcoming week will be even more unsettled. Rain will move in during the evening/overnight on Friday, continuing through Saturday Day. Saturday Night will see clearing clouds with a mix of sun and clouds for Sunday Day. Sunday Night will see increasing clouds with lower chances of showers again. Highs will be in the low 60’s with 30’s, 40’s and 50’s overnight. Humidity will be low to moderate. Water conditions vary by forecast, but overall will deteriorate late Friday Night/Early Saturday Morning with increasing winds and seas. This will become borderline to cautious conditions with wind 20-25 knots and seas 3-6 feet. Conditions will begin to improve late Saturday/Early Sunday and remain better into Monday before deteriorating again. Northern waters and offshore waters look to have the worst conditions on Saturday. Surf and beach conditions will be ok on Saturday and better/good on Sunday. Winds will be gusty on Saturday to 25 knots, however surf looks to remain around 1-3 feet. Some areas could see rougher and higher surf around 2-4 feet average. Sunday winds will diminish with wave heights around 1-3 feet. Rip Current Risk is Moderate to Low. Water temperatures are in the low to upper 60’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate.

Several areas of low pressure will travel northeast along a nearly stationary frontal boundary located from Southern Texas into the Tennessee Valley and Virginia from Friday Night through Saturday Night. By Sunday, the front will move further southeast, as a cold front with high pressure builds in. On Monday, a stronger area of low pressure will develop along the boundary which moved through over the weekend causing it to move back north as a warm front. A deep trough of low pressure with another associated cold front will move through the region late Tuesday and Wednesday. High pressure will then build in behind the front for Thursday and Friday.

Next week will looks like a repeat of this week. It will start off dry, then rain chances move in for Tuesday and Wednesday, clearing out for Thursday and Friday and hopefully into the weekend. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good for early Monday, deteriorating by Monday afternoon and continuing to be cautious to hazardous through early Friday. This is just due to unsettled weather and the movement of lows, highs and boundaries.

The tropics are active with Tropical Depression 7, that will likely become Tropical Storm Faye. This system should remain south and east of Bermuda and will continue northeast out to sea. There are also two areas of invest southeast of TD 7 being watched.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
