1991 Rinker with 2007 Trailer
« on: October 14, 2014, 08:47:01 PM »
Price is $7,000

http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/boa/4711054180.html

I will include my trailer for free.. This is why...

This guys wants to buy my boat and would like to trade it to me with the difference given to me in CASH.. If I do this, I will then have to sell this boat.

Option.. fix it and sell it for a little profit or sell it as is with my trailer as an extra gift and no extra charge..

Before I make this deal, trying to see if anyone is interested in this.

price is $6K in the CL ad

that means he will take $4K if he really wants to sell it.

don't give him anymore than that for trade you are assuming his problems

im asking $23,000 for mine.. He wants to trade and give me $16,000.. That is $7,000 off my asking price. That's where the $7K came from. If I know I can move this boat for $7K, then I will make the deal.  That price also included my trailer that isn't in his ad.  That's just me adding that extra incentive to get the deal done.

I would not do it. There are many boats of this type for sale everywhere. You may be stuck with it if you can't sell it. Do you really want a Sterndrive? If it was a higher end boat like a SeaRay, maybe it would be worth it, and again maybe not.  You would be better off to take less money for your boat. Estimate would be hard to figure without seeing it. As I read the ad, I would think it had a rough life as many upgrades were done. But were they done the correct way? Not a deal I would even think about for myself. Go on YachtWorld and get an idea of what this boat is selling for. Also try NADA website.

You don't want to sell your Grady "Great boat" and inherit something that might have issues. Then deal with all the troubles selling that boat and problems the new owner might be calling you about.

Now you have piece of mind and no worries. Your Grady should sell  t^

I love my 31' Fountain t^ ;D

All kidding aside,   Fountains are very narrow and will save you plenty of fuel compared to the Grady. Contender makes some similar to Fountains too. Just be ready to roll during the drift.

Yeah.. since I am no longer in Atlantic Highlands, my ride to the inlet from Toms River is about 1 hour.  My main concern is the fuel consumption.  As far as the rocking, I am no long out on the water on days I shouldn't be, but the drift sock always help most of that roll.

Most of my days now are in the bay, from the Barny inlet to the Manasquan bridge, and having that open design give me plenty of room, especially when it comes to the anchor..
