Disappointment with Mud Hole Rod Building
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:57:49 AM »
Ive started to order equipment and other items for Rod building and decided on using Mud Hole as a company to deal with. Was OK on the first order, but since then it seems like any orders under $100.00 don't get the same treatment. Every order Ive made since has taken three or more days just to process and just as long if not longer to get shipped. The latest order I found out had back ordered one item without telling me at the time I placed it,just so happens that item was the one I needed. Not my idea of a company I would intend to continue to deal with. Just wanted to pass that along to others here encase they are planning to use a supply company to deal with in the future.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody

They're in FL so it'll always take atleast 3 days for ground shipping unless you get expedited shipping.  1-3 day processing is quite normal for a supply company. Electronic inventory is not always accurate.  I even had an issue with tackle direct earlier this year with the same types of issues. Everything was slower than the last time I ordered from them and the site said 1 shirt was available that wasn't and was holding up shipping a complete order.

Understood; but not something I feel is a logistics problem, more like a internal problem.

I placed an order for some items for rod building from an outfit in Huston Texas and it's getting here in half the time.

I'm a real PITA when it comes to doing business with other companies and I realize it. But when it comes to us "Me and my Wife" We have always respected our customers needs and made every attempt to treat them as we would want to be treated. You know! The way it was in our day..when dinosaurs roamed the earth ;D
