Line snips
« on: December 23, 2014, 03:51:47 PM »
I know somewhere here we had discussed tools for cutting braided line. I couldn't find the topic so here goes.

I purchased The Snip from Boomerang and I have been testing it's ability to cut Braid and Fluoro as well as mono. These little snips are great. What I like most about them is they are compact and are easy to work with. If you don't have a good pair of versatile cutters then get one of these.

I use this from Eagle Claw since I started jigging.  I got it for the split ring pliers but when I tried the cutter on braid, it cut clean and easy.  The downside is it's so damn small compared to everything else in my box I constantly misplace it. lol.  Best $5 I've spent on a fishing tool

Sounds like a better deal then the Line snips that I purchased price wise. But they do have a 36" retractable line with a key ring that you can attach to a zipper or belt loop or button hole loop. they are more then $5.00 though.
