Winter projects
« on: January 03, 2015, 09:31:28 AM »
Just caught up on my winter Reel maintenance projects. Thanks to BigAl for directing me to the AlanTani site for reel repair, I broke down all of my reels and thanks to the help on the alantani site. I have completed a complete maintenance and upgrade of some of the older reels. Everything is good to go! t^

Do you feel comfortable enough to lead a reel maintenance get together sometime in the coming months? I'd still like to see that happen. If for nothing more than getting some guys n gals together over the long boring winter.

I just started doing my own and am just a whisker above being new to it.  ;D

If you guys feel comfortable with me giving my advice as to what I have done and maybe some good references in case you get in trouble then sure. I'm willing> You can pick the place or if people are willing to come to Farmingdale we can do it here at my place. Your choice.

Farmingdale, not far from Belmar, fairly close to central NJ, a midway point for most. That works for me. I think we probably have several others who can pitch in with their expertise.

I'm in. Let's see how much interest we can drum up on this.  t^

Okay we will need to know how many and if people want food and drink. Maybe we can all pitch in and bring something. My neighbor has a kegalator that I may be able to borrow. Give it a kick and see if we can get started.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
