The potential for a wet week, but warming temperatures and windy and building seas causing cautious to hazardous conditions. Monday day will be mostly sunny and dry. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s with some areas seeing 70’s. Overnight lows will be in the 40’s and 50’s. Monday Night will see building clouds and chances of showers. Shower chances will continue through the remainder of the week. Right now, only Wednesday into Thursday looks widespread or organized with the possibility of thunderstorms. Even, these storms look like a more widely scattered type of grouping. The rest of the week will be scattered to widely scattered at best. Highs will fluctuate the rest of the week from the 40’s to the 70’s with Tuesday also seeing temperatures into 60’s and 70’s and Wednesday and Thursday the coolest. Overnight lows will range from the 30’s to the 50’s with warmer and cooler lows happening inline with the highs for the week. Water conditions will be windy with building seas and surf. Winds will push 30 knots and seas to 8-10 feet. Water conditions will be cautious with hazardous conditions possible on Wednesday. Some areas during certain times could see pockets of good or better conditions, so it is a check daily and for specific locations if you are looking to get out. Some Friday forecasts were not available and will be updated as they become available. Surf and beach conditions will be windy as well and higher surf, making conditions ok to cautious. Water temperatures are steady in the 40’s. UV Index will range from Low to High at 2-6/15.

A front from Southern New England to Northern NJ and Northern PA should settle some on Sunday Night, then lift north some Monday and Tuesday. A few areas of low pressure will develop along the front by Tuesday. The front will move southward through the area early Wednesday, then lift back north as a warm front late Thursday through Friday. The next cold front will arrive during Saturday, then potentially stall to our south Sunday.

Saturday day could see some residual showers, clearing out by night. Sunday will be dry. Both days will see a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the 60’s with overnight lows in the 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to borderline, hopefully improving into Sunday.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Re: Potential for Severe Weather on Friday
« Reply #1 on: April 10, 2015, 12:47:22 AM »
There is a potential for Severe Weather on Friday including storms with heavy rains, dangerous lightning, damaging winds, hail and even a few tornadoes.

I will have a full update in the morning/afternoon. The majority of the weather will be in the Southern half of the state, but statewide could see some storms.

Be aware of changing weather.

Re: Friday Thunderstorms, Some Severe
« Reply #2 on: April 10, 2015, 12:53:06 PM »
Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon/evening, however the bulk of the severe weather should remain to the south and south of the state today. All parts of the state could see thunderstorms capable of heavy rains and dangerous lightning and gusty winds. Very Southern parts of the state could see severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds and hail. Severe thunderstorms are always capable of producing tornadoes as well, although that risk is west of the state, storms don't know boundaries.

Be safe and aware of changing conditions and make sure you have a way of receiving any warnings!
