Mostly dry, sunny and warm with mostly good water conditions this weekend. Saturday will be mostly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Northern areas, even stretching into Central NJ could see some scattered showers during the earlier part of the day. Sunday will be dry with more sun. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with 50’s and 60’s at the shore and on the water. Overnight lows will be in the 40’s and 50’s with warmer temperatures along the coast. Water conditions will start off cautious to borderline on Saturday. Conditions on Friday will be cautious to hazardous, but will improve into Saturday. Timing appears to be good by Saturday Morning, but any delay in the movement of the coastal low will linger then into Saturday. Conditions will improve throughout the day, but some areas could still see gusty winds early, diminishing and high seas that may stick around on the ocean. So, Saturday could end up cautious to borderline. By later Saturday conditions will be good, as winds will have diminished and seas settling. Sunday conditions look good, all except offshore waters which will be borderline still due to seas. Surf and beach conditions will be the same as water conditions. OK to good conditions will exist on Saturday with some gusty winds possible early and higher surf to 7 feet. This should improve and quickly on Saturday to 3-5 feet then 2-4 feet. Conditions will be ok to good on Sunday with some higher surf remaining anywhere from 3-5 feet down to 1-3 feet is possible. Water temperatures are steady, maybe a little warmer in areas with most waters in the upper 40’s and 50’s. UV Index will be Moderate to High at 5-6/15.
Low pressure near the coast of the Southeastern States will move northeastward through Friday. High pressure will then build in behind the departing low for the weekend and into early next week. A cold front will approach on Tuesday and may stall over our region by the middle of next week.
The upcoming week looks mostly dry and warmer. Some chances of rain for Tuesday, but right now the rest of the week looks dry. Highs will be the warmest so far in the upper 60’s to upper 70’s with 80’s a definite possibility. Overnight lows will only be in the upper 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good for most of the week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday could see some gustier winds and higher seas, at times with some cautious conditions, however overall borderline to good.
Have a great Weekend and thanks for reading!
