A mixed weak for weather and water conditions with heat and humidity returning and mostly good water conditions. Chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Even though, chances are listed as under 50%, the week rainfall totals reach 1 inch in some places, so some of the showers may be more organized and widely scattered to even widespread. Wednesday and Friday look to be dry. Temperatures will be hot again this week with mid 80’s to mid 90’s inland and low to mid 80’s at the shore. Overnight lows will range from the low 60’s to mid 70’s, as hot and humid air makes its way back into the region. Humidity will moderate becoming high. Some storms could be strong to severe and some areas will have threats of flooding with any rains. Water conditions will be good for the start of the week with winds and seas increasing into Wednesday and for Thursday. Winds could push 20+ knots and seas 3-5 feet inshore and 4-7 feet midshore to offshore. Wednesday will be borderline, but Thursday will be cautious. Conditions will improve for almost all locations for Friday, except midshore to offshore could see borderline conditions for seas. So, not the best, but not a blow out either and inshore waters, as well as rivers and bays could not see seas increase this much for Wednesday or Thursday. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok. Winds will be gusty on Wednesday and Thursday and surf will be rougher and higher most of the week. Rip Current Risks will be Moderate to High most of the week. Thunderstorm threats are possible for both beach and on the water, so be aware of changing conditions. Water temperatures have increased by a few degrees with waters in the 70’s and low 80’s. Surf temperatures have increased to the upper 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High with mainly Very High at 4-10/15.

A cold front will approach the region tonight from the Northwest. By Monday, this front will dissipate into a trough of low pressure. High pressure will then build eastward into the region for the middle of the week before another cold front comes through the region on Thursday Night. Another area of high pressure will build eastward with a frontal boundary located to the south for the end of the week.

The heat and humidity will continue into the weekend with highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s inland with low to mid 80’s at the shore. Overnight lows will be in the 60’s to low 70’s. Humidity will be moderate to high and conditions look to be mostly dry right now. Water, surf and beach conditions look borderline right now. Winds look mostly good with some gusts to 20 knots, however seas could build to 4 feet inshore and 5 feet midshore to offshore.

Atlantic Tropics are quiet.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
