Headed out on a windy Sunday with my son. After a very bumpy and wet ride to the ocean we put out spoons and trolled around the large bunker schools from the Highlands bridge to the rocks. Tried shads too without a touch. Saw the Irish Ayes heading north when I was going south, hope he did better than we did. About noon we pulled the lines in and made a run to Raritan Bay, put out the 9er's on the Reach Channel edge and we hooked up both rods with 2 slot bass, kept one as we only had one tag. Back on the troll and we land a 10# blue. Tried for about another hour as the winds picked up, no more takers.
Great to get out on my boat again.
