Another week of settled weather, but unsettled water conditions. The week will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Wednesday Night could have some patchy fog. There will be several boundaries passing or moving through the area, but they look to be dry right now. Highs will range from the 50’s to the 70’s this week, starting off cooler, moderating, warming, then cooling by the end of the week. Overnight lows will range from the 30’s to 50’s. Fall temperatures are definitely in the air, but mild conditions will break through midweek. While, frontal boundary passages and movement will not affect the weather too much,  it will bring about poor water conditions. Water conditions will be mostly borderline to cautious, even hazardous by the end of the week, but only right at the thresholds for most of the week. Conditions will be mixed for rivers and bays and will be more good, than borderline or cautious. Ocean waters will be cautious to start the week with winds 10-15 knots with gusts to 25 knots and seas to 4 feet, then good for midweek, then becoming borderline to cautious for Thursday, and then cautious to hazardous for Friday. Again, conditions will be bordering good to borderline to cautious, so conditions may extend in either of those directions. Except Friday, Friday looks to be hazardous with seas 5-8 feet. Water temperatures are cooler, into the upper 50’s to low 60’s. UV Index will be Moderate at 3-4/15.

High pressure will build across the Mid Atlantic States through Monday Morning, then sag to the south on Tuesday. As it does, a weak cool front may edge down into Northern NJ on Wednesday. Regardless, it lifts back to the north as a warm front Wednesday Night on response to low pressure moving across Southern Canada. That low, then sends a cold front across the area on Thursday. Canadian High Pressure follows for the end of the week into the weekend.

The weekend will be a continuation of the week with dry conditions, mostly sunny skies, and temperatures in the 60’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to start the weekend and should improve to borderline to good.

There is still an invest area down in Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico. Otherwise, the tropics are quiet.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
