The week will be very unsettled with rain chances throughout the week and cautious water conditions. The week will start off sunny with increasing clouds throughout the day. Clouds will increase into the night with rain chances. Rain will continue on Tuesday with chances decreasing into the night/overnight. Rain will be organized and widespread. Wednesday will be dry with fog at night. Thursday will have showers chances return, greater during the day, with scattered to widely scattered chances. Friday will clear out with a mix of sun and cloud and dry conditions. Highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s with overnight lows in the 30’s to 50’s. 30’s won’t appear until Friday Night. With unsettled fronts and lows, water conditions will be mostly cautious this week. Monday will start off good for all waters except midshore to offshore becoming cautious by later afternoon and night. Conditions will continue to be cautious to hazardous for Tuesday through Friday. Winds will gust to 30 knots with seas to 10 feet midshore to offshore. Rivers and bays will have some good to borderline conditions from Tuesday on, however, gusty winds are possible kicking up seas as well. Water temperatures are steady in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 0-4/15.
High pressure over the Mid Atlantic States will shift offshore on Monday. Low pressure forming in the Souhteastern States will move up the East Coast on Tuesday, passing slowly eastward from Coastal NJ on Tuesday Evening. Weak high pressure follows later on Wednesday. A large and intense storm north of the Great Lakes Thursday, sends a cold front eastward off the East Coast by Thursday Night. A secondary cold front associated with the large low in Southeast Canada should pass through the area next Saturday.
The weekend could have chances of rain mainly on Saturday, however, it could be dry depending on the timing and track of the low. It is too early to definitively call this weekend. Highs will be in the 50’s with overnight lows in the 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous with gusty winds to 30 knots and seas to 6+ feet.
There is an area of invest in the Caribbean that will likely develop into something tropical. Right now, that system stays offshore, but it needs to be watched over the next days to week.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
