Blackfish Jigs available
« on: November 18, 2015, 09:38:20 PM »
After receiving several requests, I have decided to expand a bit and have a shipment of Blackfish jigs on their way. I will offer these unpainted, Chartreuse with Blaze orange or the Pumpkin Green (killie) with lighter orange, emulating the crab colors. Sizes will be 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3, 4 and 5 oz. I have a a few pre-orders from first shipment and will have another order going in. If you are interested let me know. It will help me to plan for sizes to obtain since this is a new product to carry for this season. **** ( Updated picture is below with the colrs I am making them in)******Green will be flo chartreuse. Hooks are Mustad Black Nickel Ultra Fine point in 4/0 to 1 1/2oz and 5/0 for 2-5oz sizes, not the big wide gap hooks.

I have never togged with a Jig. What is the preferred rigging?

Seen them fished with whole crabs, halves, quarters....depends on bite primarily. Consider using a non slip mono knot or other type of knot to loop at the jig eye. Cast around and find the drop offs and holes for presentation. Takes some work and I'm certainly no pro. Sharpies will say best for using primarily in shallow waters.....Guess that's users preference

To each their own, what ever works best for you.   t^ Here are the samples of the colors I will be offering in the flat head jigs Raw/Green Crab/White Legger and the popular Long Island combo of Chartreuse and Blaze Orange. Available in 1, 1 1/2, 2,3,4,and 5oz sizes. These do work well in the shallow water areas where there is less current/tide flowing. Prices starting at $1.75 to $3.50 for raw and $2.50 to $4.25 for painted versions. Sharkbite Bucktails now offering the tog jigs as well as the winter offering for bucktails savings for your 2016 season.

A new box of raw jigs arrived today to replenish what has been sold through so far. 2 and 3 oz sizes are most popular in the Chartreuse and Green Crab colors, 1 1/2oz size has been selling well in the White Legger color. Seems like the 4s and 5s are doing well for days with winds and current involved. New customer on private boat out of Belmar put them to the test this past Friday and fared pretty well with a boat limit for each angler.....
