Another mixed weekend with some rain and cautious water conditions. Saturday will be a mix of sun and clouds with clouds increasing into night. There will be chances of scattered showers Saturday Night and into Sunday Day before clearing out for Sunday Night. Sunday will be breezy with gusty winds to 30 mph. Water conditions will be mixed from good to borderline to cautious, even hazardous for midshore to offshore areas. Conditions on Friday will be cautious and will continue into early Saturday before improving. Winds will gust to 20 knots with seas 2-4 feet, making some areas good, some borderline and some even cautious. Sunday will have gustier winds to 25 knots and seas 3-5 feet, but could be mixed again, so good to borderline to cautious depending on the location and time. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok. Winds will be gusty 20-25 knots and seas 1-4 feet on average. Seas will be higher on Sunday and 5 foot waves are possible. Water temperatures have cooled and all areas are now below 60 degrees in the 50’s now. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-3/15.
A cold front will push east of the region on Thursday Night, followed by high pressure briefly building over the Mid Atlantic States Friday into early Saturday. The next cold front will move across the area Saturday Night as its associated low pressure tracks from the Great Lakes into Southeastern Canada. High pressure is then expected to influence the region into the middle of next week.
Next week looks to be dry, but cooler and more seasonable temperatures will finally move in for the week. Highs will be in the 40’s then into the low to mid 50’s by midweek or so with overnight lows in the 20’s to 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be mixed, borderline to cautious on Monday and Tuesday, better for Wednesday, then borderline to cautious again for Thursday and Friday.
The Atlantic Tropics are quiet.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
