Replacing Tip Top on Tuna Rod
« on: November 30, 2015, 07:18:28 AM »
Had the opportunity to buy a recently built 50-80 class stand up tuna rod. The seller was selling it surprisingly cheap, (less than the cost of the roller guides). Then he pointed out that the tip top was upside down and he used gorilla glue to put it on. Do I cut it off? or try to heat it off? Any ideas would be helpful.

There are some rod builders on this site. You should get a good answer.

Try heat first.  I lighter back and forth a few times. see if it move. If not try again. Just don't overheat it.
