Unsettled weather this week will bring some rain and cautious water conditions. The week will start off with chances of showers all day. Those chances increase into the night hours. Showers will be scattered during the day and scattered to widely scattered at night. Tuesday and Wednesday will see more sun than clouds and dry conditions. Tuesday will be very breezy. Thursday will see a return of rain, which will be widely scattered to more organized. Rains will clear out for Friday with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be above average for most of the week with 50’s and 60’s then 40’s and 50’s by the end of the week. Lows will only be in the upper 30’s to 50’s dropping down into the 20’s and 30’s by the end of the week. Water conditions will be very mixed by day and location. In general, Monday will have borderline to cautious water conditions with Small Craft Advisories in the evening. Tuesday will continue cautious to hazardous water conditions with Small Craft Advisories. Wednesday will see a mix of cautious conditions and good conditions. Cautious conditions will carry over into the morning and eventually subside becoming good for the bulk of the day. Thursday will have good conditions for rivers and bays, borderline conditions for inshore due to higher seas and cautious conditions midshore to offshore. All ocean waters will see building seas for Thursday late and into Friday causing borderline to cautious conditions on Friday. Rivers and bays will have good to borderline conditions on Friday. Surf and beach conditions will also be mixed with good conditions on Monday becoming ok to cautious for Monday Afternoon and Monday Night, cautious on Tuesday, good on Wednesday, ok to cautious for Thursday and Friday. Surf heights could push 6 feet on Tuesday, later Thursday, and Friday. Water temperatures have warmed a degree or two with all waters in the 50’s. UV Index will be Low at 0-2/15.

A low pressure system will continue to lift northeast into the Great Lakes Region through the day on Monday. The cold front associated with this low will cross the area on Monday Night. High pressure will build back in for Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, another area of low pressure will lift from Central to Northern Plains and eventually over the Hudson Bay by Thursday Night. This will bring another cold front into the region on Thursday Night. High pressure is expected to gradually build into the area for the end of the week.

The weekend looks to be dry with the coolest temperatures of the week. There will be a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s and lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Definitely the coldest air of the season so far! Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious all weekend, right now, at this point in the forecasts.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
