Another unsettled week with mixed weather and mostly cautious water conditions. Monday will start off with the continued snow and wintry mix, eventually coming to an end by late Monday Morning or Monday Afternoon, clearing for the rest of the day. Tuesday and Wednesday will see a mix of clouds with chances of showers mainly for the northern areas of the state, but could stray outside of those areas. Thursday will start off the same as Tuesday and Wednesday with rain shower chances increasing into Thursday Night and continuing for Friday. Friday Night will see chances decreasing and clearing some into the weekend. Highs will range from the 40’s to 60’s with overnight lows in the 20’s to 50’s. Water conditions will be mainly cautious all week. Some rivers, bays and inshore waters will have good or borderline conditions Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, but overall winds will be gusty with higher seas and Small Craft Advisories. Surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious most of the week with gusty winds and high and rough surf ranging from 2-4 feet to 4-8 feet. Water temperatures have cooled by a few degrees. UV Index will be Low to High at 2-6/15.
Low pressure off the Mid Atlantic Coast will strengthen as it tracks northeastward on Sunday Night and Monday. High pressure then builds in Tuesday before shifting offshore to near Bermuda on Wednesday. A cold front is forecast to arrive from the north Wednesday Night or Thursday, potentially reaching Eastern Pennsylvania and NJ before moving back north as a warm front late Thursday. Strong Low pressure will then move into Quebec on Friday pulling a cold front off the East Coast. High pressure builds in for Saturday, then low pressure may affect the Mid Atlantic on Sunday.
The weekend is looking dry with highs in the 50’s and overnight lows in the 30’s to 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions are good for Saturday and borderline to cautious for Sunday.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
