Jamaica report!
« on: November 25, 2007, 08:51:57 AM »
1st off fishing was terrible. MAYBE saw 1 or 2 mulet jumping out of water and a few ballyhoo. That was it for the week.

ow that we got that out of the way, on to the rest.

Drinks were GREAT and we had plenty of them.

Weather was so-so early and mid week and really improved our last 2 days :(

Here are a few pics of the fun. We are ready for another vaca :)

Some pics of the Ocean safari. A little too windy to do the whole tour, but we got to zip around for a while. Pretty fun (and pretty col to completely cavitate prop during high speed, hard turn :)

Looks like fun too bad about the fishing
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

I was, but it was real choppy (at one point, we were in easy 3+' in those little 9' boats. Even I was a bit nervous driving.
After a while, when it was time to switch driverrs, she didn't really feel the urge to drive, so I stayed at it.

I am just going to go in middle of bay next year, give her the wheel and let her have at it for a bit.

That's how she will learn. Then when she can drive in open water, she gets to learn how to dock :)

We had a great time on trip.

I heard fishing in jamaica sucks as a whole, so I didn't plan on catching much.
Even the glass bottom boat ride over the coral, we didn't see any fish really.

Almost lifeless down their in the water.

Very strange.

Hi mboy and FF,

It sounds like you had a great time minus the fishing but that OK.  Next time target the fish.  One of these days I would love to do just that.  Make the vacation all about fishing for a trophy and I don't care if its my wife or myself.

Happy Catching

Paul

In a couple of years, I want to go with my pops to Louisiana or MIssissippi for a 3-4 day weekend of fishing the oil rigs. Wahoo, tuna, sharks, jacks, snapper. You name it, they catch them there.

That will be my hardcore fishing trip for sure one day.
