A developing lines of storms, as well as supercells are possible on Saturday with thunderstorms capable of heavy rains, dangerous lightning, damaging winds and hail. Right now, tornadic activity is not indicated, but ALL severe thunderstorms are capable of spawning tornadoes. Sunday will have isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms on Sunday during the day. Storms this weekend will not be the norm, but will pop up or move into areas. Be aware of changing weather conditions and have a way of receiving weather alerts. High temperatures will be in the 70’s and 80’s on Saturday and upper 70’s to upper 80’s on Sunday. Sunday will be the warmest of the two days. Overnight lows will be in the 60’s to low 70’s on Saturday Night and then 50’s and 60’s on Sunday. Humidity will be moderate to high, especially on Saturday Night and Sunday. Sunday will be breezy to even windy. Water conditions will be mostly cautious all weekend. High pressure to our west will weaken and push southward tonight into Friday night, while low pressure will remain across the Canadian Maritimes. This will keep a northwest flow across the area, with a surface trough crossing the area Friday. An area of low pressure will drift across southern Canada Saturday night into Sunday. A warm front will lift across the area Saturday, then a cold front will move across the area overnight Saturday. This cold front will stall to our south into early next week. High pressure will then build to our northwest, while low pressure strengthens across
New England.
Next week looks more settled right now and mostly dry. Chances of showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, Thursday, and maybe Friday. High temperatures will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 50’s and 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious on Monday and Tuesday and early Wednesday before improving for the rest of the week.
