18 June, Early
« on: June 18, 2016, 10:39:40 PM »
Hit the beach by 0500 and left for home by 0930.

Surf had some undertow to it and was rolling sinkers around. Six wound up holding good enough.

Usual baits, bunker chunks, heads and salted clam. Nothing to show.

Wound up with some action on metal though. Had a plain old kastmaster that I got six hook ups with in a half hour right around high tide, but failed to land any of them. replaced the hook on it with a small tuna hook and not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. Switched it out with a normal hook off another lure and lost one with that. One gave an arial show before spitting the hook which looked to be like an 18" blue.

 Getting closer, maybe next week.
No action on a red/white popper or diamond jig around same time, or bucktail shortly after.
All your tuna's are belong to me

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Thats what I keep saying. Starting to wonder if its just me.

Tides over the next couple weekends will have us hitting the surf with some hours of darkness. we'll see what happens then.

Not at all. Last couple months I would at least have the bites but except for the teaser last weekend, I haven't even been getting those. But each trip conditions change so can only hope for better next time out. I have been fishing different hours than I normally would so no doubt that's a factor
