 Took the wife out on the bay Sat.. to start getting her into fishing.  Wanted to start at the BI.. Upon Arriving, found I left the Tackle Tote.. On the dock
This happens when your a one man crew..

Steamed back to get it and headed back to the BI.  Bait was Gulp only..    A lot of boats drifting nothing there but sea weed and crap.. shot into double creek and was greeted to Bahama water. I couldn't believe how clean the bay was from the inlet to double creek..  Had some nice hits on a couple drifts but the boat traffic was just to much to be drifting thru the channel..   Shot to the cut.. and on one drift picked up one short.. Wife had enough and back we went..  Working her up to heading out to the reef.

She had fun drift fishing..

Also teaching her how to run the boat..

Good try, now I know the pontoon boat will be perfect for the bay.... I can sit up on the deck, swim and know I won't be missing too much out there!!

See.  I have a very tough slip to get back into with just 2 people on board with one being in the pilot house.. Ad a NE Wind.. and it's a mess getting blown to the side while backing in.. So basically any trip needed more than two people.  this sometimes is hard to make happen..  So this year I'm trying with just my wife and I..  A little tough.. but will get easier..  They put a piling in so I can't swing over and take out the boat next to me with my Pulpit..
