beach haven tog report
« on: December 02, 2007, 08:32:26 AM »
went with an large online group tog fishing yesterday.

the fishing was picky but the boat did have a short flurry of action in the stern with numerous  tog coming up to 10 lbs. fished in like 50-70 ft. had whites but they really didnt repsond to them like normally do.

our group of mongers didnt fair so well up in the bow but it was a good day with lots of laughs with friends.

we wound up with 6 keepers for our group and a lot of shorts.

little chilly but a nice day on the water

Always a good time when you are with a group.  Don't matter if the catching is great or not.  The company is what makes the trip.
Nice report.    t^

Congrats to the Brooklyn BSers proving that a blind squirrel CAN find a nut!!!  jk

was a long day on the beach for the sides and bow.

things I learned today:

anchoring fast doesn't equal anchoring good

blackfish like "bottom"

on a tough day, the cream rises to the top (me)

sometimes you've got to LET the blackfish bite BUILD

It WAS a fun day with good friends.........what fishing should be; regardless of the results

catching fish (or getting bites) is better than not catching fish (and not getting bites)

Hi Capt. Jerry,

Hareball, Capt. John B, and myself were on board that trip as well. We had a lot of throw backs and only 2 keepers. We were fishing green crabs only. Wish we had some of those white ones... All good times.

Capt. Mike
