Fluke off Mantoloking
« on: August 14, 2016, 04:14:04 PM »
Out just after 1st light headed off Mantoloking. Started just west of the AC Reef had a 22.5" and a 19" in the 1st 5 minutes. Then went closer inshore to 50ish feet of water. The wind was all over the place SW then West then nothing, We power drifted when it was dead. Ended up with about 45 fish between us with 5 keepers. The killer was over half the fish were between 17" and just short of 18". A fun Morning overall. The bait was Gulp and spearing on a bucktail with a teaser bucktail hook just above. As usual the the top hook was king. A very fun busy fishing morning  clp. I would take a day fishing like this anytime.. chrz

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
