A good weekend for weather conditions, if you are ok with the heat and humidity, but water conditions will be borderline to cautious. Sunny skies with dry conditions for the weekend with highs inland in the upper 80’s to low 90’s. It will be a little cooler at the shore. Overnight lows will range from 60’s to low 70’s. Humidity will be Moderate to High, making it feel hotter and stickier. Water conditions will be good for rivers and bays, although the Delaware could be borderline on Saturday. Inshore ocean waters will be borderline to cautious and midshore to offshore will be cautious. Winds will only gust to 20 knots and seas will push 4+ feet. Surf and beach conditions will be borderline to even cautious, especially later on Sunday. Winds will gust to 20 knots and surf heights could push 2-4 feet with 5 feet later on Sunday. Rip Current Risks will be possibly become Moderate to High. Water temperatures have cooled some in the 60’s and 70’s. UV Index will be High to Very High at 6-9/15.

A frontal boundary extended from southern New England across our region to the Ohio River Valley this afternoon. The front is forecast to drift southward allowing high pressure from the north to build into our region over the weekend. Another frontal
boundary from the northwest is expected to arrive early in the new week and it should meander in our vicinity through Wednesday. A cold front approaching from the northwest is anticipated to arrive early on Thursday. High pressure should follow for Friday.

The Atlantic Tropics are somewhat active. TS Gaston is out in the Atlantic and will stay out to sea. There are two areas of invests, 1 in the Caribbean and 1 in the Gulf of Mexico that will either effect Florida and/or the Gulf States.

Next week looks mainly dry, however the heat and humidity will continue through Wednesday before breaking some. A chance of showers or thunderstorms is possible all week. Highs will be in the upper 80’s to low 90’s inland with overnight lows in the 60’s and 70’s through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see highs back down into the low to mid 80’s with 60’s overnight. Humidity will be high through Wednesday before becoming Low to Moderate.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
