A dry start with showers and thunderstorms later on Saturday and mixed water conditions. Saturday Day will be dry, with showers and thunderstorms possible for Saturday Night and all day Sunday. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Humidity will be moderate to even high at times. Water conditions will be good for northern and central rivers and bays, but southern bays and the Delaware Bay will be good to borderline. Inshore ocean waters will be good to borderline and midshore to offshore waters will be cautious with higher seas. Longer period swells will be in full swing at 10 seconds with seas 3-4 feet. Surf conditions will be good to borderline as well. Rip Current Risks will be Low to Moderate. Water temperatures are steady in the 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to High at 4-6/15.
High pressure will continue to shift east of the New England coast tonight into Saturday. As low pressure tracks well to our north later Saturday and Sunday, its associated cold front will cross our region Sunday night and Monday. A secondary cold front may then slide through our area late Tuesday. High pressure builds in for
Wednesday into Thursday, before shifting offshore Friday.
The Atlantic Tropics are active with a tropical storm, a tropical depression, and two invests. Both current systems will need to be watched. TD Julia is off the East Coast and TS Karl is out in the Atlantic. Both could impact at least water conditions, but potentially could threaten land in the future.
Next week will start off with showers and thunderstorms on Monday during the day and then clearing out for Monday Night. The rest of the week looks dry. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 50’s and 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but could change with any tropical weather.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
