Another unsettled week with rain/snow chances, temperatures swings, and cautious to hazardous water conditions. Tuesday will have rain during the day, clearing for the overnight. Wednesday will be dry most of the day and then have rain/snow showers at night. Thursday will have the greatest chances of rain/snow/wintry mix with any type of accumulation, followed by a dry Friday. Highs will range from the 60’s back down into the 20’s and 30’s. Overnight lows will range from 50’s down into the low 20’s. Water conditions will be mostly cautious to hazardous with windy conditions and high seas. Surf conditions will be borderline to cautious. Water temperatures are steady. UV Index will be Low at 0-2/15.

Strong high pressure centered over Quebec will slide off the New England coast this evening. A warm front moves northeast across the Mid Atlantic states early tonight, followed by a cold front Tuesday. High pressure is expected to influence our weather on Wednesday. A strong cold front moves through our region Thursday as low pressure
develops on the front over New Jersey. That low intensifies into a strong storm over southeast Canada Friday with a blustery seasonably cold northwest flow in its wake. High pressure briefly builds in from the southwest for Saturday. Another warm front is likely to approach on New Years Day.

New Year’s Weekend looks dry with highs in the 30’s and 40’s and overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water conditions will continue to be cautious to hazardous with high winds and seas.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
