Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Topshotfishing and Capt. Zsak
Tom Gallagher from South Florida and John Trapp from Ohio chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As they boarded the boat, they were welcomed by the Topshotfishing team.
On the way out, we stopped at T&T bait to purchase a dozen live Goggle Eyes, which will be used later on the charter. Fifteen minutes thereafter lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started out trolling with two #8 plainers each with sea witches and a double hooked bonito strip. For surface baits, we went with four Ballyhoos.
As we trolled the reefs in Fort Lauderdale, the two anglers took turns bringing in their catches, 4 Kingfish, a Bonito and a Black Fin Tuna. It was now time to do some live bait kite fishing so we set up two kites with two live Goggle Eyes from each kite in 230 ft. of water. The action started as the two angles had their hands full bringing in their catches, a total of nine Mahi-mahi’s and 3 misses.
It was now time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. Dave, our mate, filet their catches to be served for dinner.
