A wet week with mainly cautious water conditions. The week will start off with wet conditions and temperatures moving above average. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will have chances of rain and snow showers, even a wintry mix and some icing possible. This will depend on temperatures. Monday and Tuesday and northern areas will have the greatest chances of any snow, wintry mix, or ice. By Wednesday temperatures will be well above freezing that most areas will not see any wintry precipitation. Highs for Monday will be in the 30’s and 40’s with lows in the 30’s and 40’s. By Tuesday highs will move into the 40’s and 50’s with lows also in the 40’s and 50’s. Wednesday will see highs in the 50’s and 60’s, but temperatures will drop by the overnight into the 20’s and 30’s. Thursday and Friday will be dry with highs in the 30’s and 40’s and lows in the teens to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious all week, except for Friday, with winds to 30 knots and seas to 5 feet. Friday will be borderline with winds to 15 knots and seas back to 3-4 feet.
A low moving across southeastern Canada will result in a weak cold front slipping into our region late this evening. High pressure briefly returns on Monday before moving offshore Monday night. A low pressure system will then lift into the Great Lakes region, resulting in a warm front lifting through the Mid Atlantic Tuesday, and a cold front sweeping through on Wednesday. Another low will move along the front on Thursday. High pressure returns Friday before another low may approach the region late in the week.
The weekend looks to be cloudy with chances of rain. Highs will be in the 40’s with lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look cautious, then borderline on Saturday and borderline to good for Sunday.
