Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Topshotfishing and Capt. Zsak
Bob and Vicki Heideman along with Dawn and Richard Chevney from Wisconsin chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Bob reserved the trip a week ago but the weather was just too bad to go out with 25-35 mph winds, so we he rescheduled for this week. Bob was interested in catching eating fish.
Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started trolling with two #8 plainers both with sea witches and double hooked Bonito strips. For surface baits, we went with two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips. We trolled the reefs, zig-zagging from 90 ft. out to 300 ft. of water while all the anglers took turns reeling in their catches – a total of five Bonitos, five Tunas and one Mahi Mahi.
It was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316, while watching the plasma TV. At the dock, Dave, our mate, filet the fish for the anglers’ dinner tonight.
