Roosters Flukin 6-1-2017
« on: June 01, 2017, 06:56:03 PM »
Today first Fluke trip of the season. Headed out with dense fog from our slip at Atlantic Highlands Harbor, made a stop at the East end of the breakwater. Within a minute of dropping lines Tom comes up with a 18 1/2” keeper Fluke. I thought this is going to be a great day catching (NOT).Tom and I moved out to  the fleet near Sandy Hook Channel when the fog lifted to reveal many boats not catching. Back to the harbor before noon with the one keeper Fluke.  Pete

We didn't fair much better in the Keyport area . Fog kept us close to home . Heard of a better bite than actually was .
