An unsettled week with mixed weather and water conditions. Shower and thunderstorms are likely all week, however Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday have the highest chances. Monday looks to be a more widespread showers, while Tuesday and Wednesday will be scattered. Monday could even see some strong thunderstorms. Thursday and Friday will be isolated to northern areas, where they will be scattered and Friday is also scattered. Rainfall is average to above average this year already. The entire state is not at any threat of dry or drought conditions, right now. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 50’s and 60’s. Temperatures are slightly below average to average for this time of year. Humidity will be moderate to high. Water conditions will be mainly borderline with Tuesday being cautious. Winds will push 15 knots tops, except Tuesday will see 20 knots. Seas will be 3-5 feet, except for Tuesday seas could build to 6 feet. Surf and beach conditions will be good, except for Tuesday they will be borderline to cautious. Rip Current Risk will be Low to Moderate. Water temperatures are steady in the 50’s and 60’s. UV Index will be Low to Very High at 1-9/15.
There is an area of Invest in the Bay of Campeche/South Gulf of Mexico that needs to be watched over the next few days. It does not pose a threat at all right now, but that could change in the future.
A warm front is forecast to lift through our region overnight. Low pressure from the Great Lakes tracks southeastward and passes off the Delmarva coast late on Monday before moving out to sea. A trailing area of low pressure is anticipated to drop southward across our region on Tuesday. High pressure is then forecast to build slowly across our area during Wednesday through Saturday. A frontal boundary is expected to arrive early on Sunday.
