A week of showers and thunderstorms and borderline to cautious water conditions. Showers and thunderstorms are possible all week with some of the storms strong to severe. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will have scattered to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. Tuesday will have more widely scattered to widespread rain and thunderstorms. Highs will move into the 80’s and 90’s with Friday highs only in the 80’s. Overnight lows will be in the 60’s and 70’s. Humidity will be moderate to high. Water conditions will be borderline to cautious for all locations. Winds will be in the 5-20 knot range with only Tuesday nearing the 20 knots. The rest of the week will have winds to 15 knots, but seas will run 3-5 feet inshore and up to 6 feet midshore to offshore. At time, conditions could be fine, however between increasing seas and any thunderstorms, conditions could quickly deteriorate. Surf and beach conditions will be good to borderline with surf to 4 feet and a Low to Moderate Risk of Rip Currents. Water temperatures are steady in the 70’s and now even low 80’s for shallower waters. Surf temperatures are in the low to mid 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 4-10/15.

High pressure over the western Atlantic Ocean dominates our weather into Tuesday. A cold front will try to move southward into the mid Atlantic states Tuesday night or Wednesday, then stall or move north of our area on Thursday. Eventually, that cold front should ease southeast off the mid Atlantic coast later Friday and this
weekend.

The Atlantic Tropics are quiet again.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
