The "New Gulp"
« on: August 18, 2017, 11:33:06 AM »
By now Im sure everyone has come across the new Gulp formula. Is it just me or does it it much softer than the original?

The 6" grubs have been like that for a while now. I did notice the quantity in the packaging is less

Yes, the new gulp is horrible. With that said, Dick's sporting goods has the 6" grub on sale 5 for $20 online. Might as well get it on the cheap to match the cheapness that they are made. Free shipping on purchases over $25.

Agreed Al, the tails on the 6" grubs disappear rather quickly, but Berkly has everyone addicted to the stuff now!

Otter tails were much stronger but as a result, the only way I've found to get them off the hook was to cut them. They also don't really have a scent. Or atleast I haven't noticed

The first I heard of those OTTER TAILS was in a John Skinner vid. He would put a otter tail on once the tail of the Gulp was bitten off. He would leave the Used Gulp on for the scent and the otter tail for the motion. Do most tackle shops sell the otter tail ?

The otter tails are even more expensive.  When you can get the gulp 5 for 20, and the 10 back on 4 bag rebate the cost per gulp is on 50 cents. That is doable I've found ways to cut costs on other things to compensate, re-use your limes in your coronas saves a fortune!

Re-using limes that's funny.  You can also use junk mail as toilet paper.
