Another mixed week for weather and water conditions. Monday day will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds for the big Solar Eclipse, followed by clouds the chance of showers and thunderstorms at night. Patchy fog will be possible for late Sunday Night into early Monday Morning. Tuesday and Wednesday will have a mix of sun and clouds all day with chances of showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, especially on Tuesday. Thursday and Friday will have more sun than clouds and will be mostly dry. Highs will be in the 70’s to 90’s with Tuesday being the hottest. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s to 70’s. Humidity will be Moderate to High to even very high at times this week. Water conditions will be mixed all week as will surf and beach conditions. Water temperatures are a degree or two warmer than last week. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 5-9/15.
High pressure over the area moves offshore tonight, then slowly drifts out to sea through Tuesday. A cold front approaches from the west on Tuesday, then works its way across the region on Wednesday. Canadian high pressure builds into the region late in
the week and into next weekend.
The Atlantic Tropics are still active. We had Tropical Storm Harvey for a short time before weakening into another area of invest. There are two other areas that may need to be watched this week for development.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
