Hit the park later than usual this morning. Was working on the boat trailer lights to try and get out sunday but I have other things to take care of unfortunately. anyway, back to topic. Got to the park just about 830ish. Made the turn south towards the inlet but after about a minute of driving, we could see it was like a shoprite parking lot before a holiday. made a quick U-turn to the north and backed into a nice looking spot. Started out with bunker chunks while my friend bucktailed. Water seemed pretty cold for august. The temperature kept changing as we were walking the surf looking for signs of bait. Threw on the snapper rig to my other surf rod. and after a few minutes found where they were hiding. they were pretty big to live line but we did anyway. Big Bait, Big Fish. LOL. They were a couple that got harassed and/or stolen. Filleted what was left when we called the day. Buddies are going out on a PB tomorrow so they can try them as strip baits.
On another note, if anyone needs fiberglass/gelcoat work done, The guy I used did a fast, outstanding job. He is mobile also. Did the repair right in my driveway
