Me and Big Dave headed North out of SRI and the weather and seas were beautiful. First drop we found some life with short blackfish. second drop we had trouble staying on the anchor with the lack of a breeze. The next move we moved to the Red church area. we started picking through short seabass and were getting low on crabs when Dave says we haven't had a blackfish in a hour when I set the hook on a bite and my Wreckfish rod doubleled over. I get his head turned and the fish starts coming up then turns and starts pulling drag, I get the fish stopped and get him to the surface but the big white chin makes another run for the bottom, big Dave by my side "your going to lose em" finally get the fish back up and Dave gets the net under him. Official weigh in at the Fisherman's Den 12lb 4oz.
