Painting trib tabs
« on: January 03, 2008, 09:13:01 PM »
Who has done it and what did you use and how did it work?

I do not think my tabs will be on by the time they paint the hull, so I was thinking of painting them ahead of time.
I figure you have to scuff up the 304 stainless, prime it, then paint.

I also see Petit has some stuff you can spray right on.

any opinions?

I have been painting my trim tabs with the same paint I use for the bottom.  Been doing it on this boat since 1994 with no problems.

they sell a colorless, anti foulant spary for the trim tabs and tranducers.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.
