The 2021 American Red Snapper and Gag Grouper season is in full swing and the catches are outstanding. Not too long ago Central Florida had no Red Snapper. Now catches often stagger the imagination. The Florida Fisherman ll is ready and so are we.Let's tag along as Captain Garett Hubbard takes us on a journey deep into the very heart of the Gulf of Mexico:Look like Captain Garett has some help:Captain Garett is a family man who loves to see our youth involved in fishing:We will be in search of one of the most sought after fish to ever swim, the American Red Snapper. Not too long ago Central Florida was not the home of the Red Snapper. You could ish of for years without a single ARS. Now Central Florida offers some of the finest American Red Snapper fishing in the entire state.General consensus is that Red Snapper followed the Gulfstream Pipe Line into our area. Work on the natural gas pipeline began in June of 2001. The $1,468 billion dollar pipeline was completed in April of 2011. The pipeline originates from a gag gathering system in Mississippi an terminates in Coden, Alabama. The pipeline then travels the Gulf of Mexico and comes out of the sea at Port Manatee, Florida. What an honor having Captain John on the Florida.John coached high School football.
