The crew showed up ready for the forecast and said ?That's Striper Weather!" Brian and the kids were eager to tangle with some fish, and while our initial attempts at casting and jigging was not working out, we knew the fish were there.
We quickly changed tactics, dropping the trolling gear and the results were instant!
The reels SCREAMED! The bite was so aggressive that it became a challenge just to set two rods without a fish already tearing off line on the first. This was non-stop, intense action that the crew absolutely crushed.
Trophy Fish and Personal Bests
The hard work paid off big time. We landed multiple solid Striped Bass throughout the morning, including several personal bests for the kids! The highlight was an double hookup?two huge Stripers nailing the umbrella rig at the same time.
The crew called it an early day, beating the wind back to the dock. This was a textbook example of why we love fishing in tough conditions?it often produces the best bite!
