How long do Gulp baits last? Out of the bag or in the water?

You can 'recharge' any GULP bait by placing them in the bigger cannister that contains the GULP 'juice'.

NEVER leave a GULP bait on your hook to dry out as you'll spend the rest of the day trying to get it off.

A guy I work with spoke with a Berkley "scientist" and was told that the actual scent dispersion lasts about 1/2 hour.  After that they recommend you change your bait to a fresh one.

As Skolman said, if you get the Gulp! Alive container you can drop your old baits back in and this with "recharge" them.

Just be careful with those Gulp! Alive containers as they tend to leak even when you think the lid is screwed on tight.  I had one leak out all over my tackle bag and get into the carpet in my trunk. :P

I have since bought a few  Tupperware type containers (with screw on lids) for these baits and they have worked much better for me. ;D

Excellant idea !! t^

Going to have the wife pick up a few at her next Tupperare party (yes they still have those  ::))

I was intending to use a zip-lock bag but the Tupperware suggestion is much better.

I might just buy one of the larger GULP canister and drain the 'juice' into a Tupperware container to use just for 'recharging' purposes.

How about zip lock inside tupperware? Double protection.

Here's one I'll throw out there...

I was at L&H and was looking at the Gulp Alive juice containers. It specifically said to ONLY put GULP baits in the container.  Now, this could be an obvious marketing ploy to make you buy more and more GULP.  What would happen if during weakfish season, I let a Fin-S soak in there for a while before fishing.  Would my boat blow up or something when I took it out of the container?  TT^ 5hrug

Worse than that, your taxes will go up, gas prices will increase and you will have no male children...

Was wondering how long it would take us to figure out you can soak any plain bait in the stuff.  I would not put a scented bait in as it will ruin the whole batch.  You can also soak your spro jigs in it for a super shot of scent when you start out.

Definitely!  But rightly so, since the stuff just plain works.  Now that they sell "the juice" in the container, I will use it more.  The stuff was a little too expensive when the crabs could eat $6 worth of bait in a couple hours!
