Rod for Penn 112H
« on: March 27, 2008, 11:04:01 AM »
I have a Penn senator 112H (3/0) that I just had restored. I was wondering if someone can recommend a rod to match it with. I'll be using it for wreck/bottom fishing primarily.

I have my senators on penn power sticks 7 ft one piece rods. good for most everything, trolling, stripers, wreck fishing. Not an expensive rod but made well and stands up to years of fishing
Later for now,

How deep of water?

I have a 6' ( I think) lower end, but never used (actually have a pair) of Tsunami rod I am looking to get rid of.

Either:

TFSBC-601MH 6'0" Med/Hvy 15-40 1-4
TFSBC-661MH 6'6" Med/Hvy 15-40 1-4

It is yours for $20 if you want.

Whichever it is (I will find out when I get home tonight)it will go in the For Sale forum tonight.

I really don't like penn rods- they break easily.  Try maybe a Tsunami boat series or a heavier Ug Stik.  I have my 4/0special Sens on 6.5 ft heavy action ugly sticks.  It is a an extremely durable combo.
