To follow up, the first RVTA Tournament of 2007 yielded a 18lb lake trout. There haven't been any fish nearly that size since then, but fishing has been good.
The state stocked RVR with 100,000 herring in June, so the fish that were slim are now nice and fat. There's another tournament this Saturday (7/14) for anyone who may be interested. I've found that the brown trout fishing this year has been consistantly good with most fish over the 15" keeper mark. But water temperatures are getting up there, so it's going to slow down.
