Manasquan Flounder Report 4/25
« on: April 25, 2008, 03:29:13 PM »
Decided to try the Miss NK today on the AM trip for one more shot at flounder.

30 plus fares and the fish bite was not on, even though the conditions were pretty good.

About 7 keepers for the boat, I was one of the fortunate ones with a dinner fish. We fished dog island, the river on the west side of the bridge and the entrance to the canal.  Dog island was the only producing area, but a few toy togs were caught at the cana.

Saw the Angele Rose II by dog island, but didn't see how they were doing.

Blues came in thrashing bait, but couldn't see the size. Probably cocktails.  Could signal the end of the flounder run in this area.

Turn to striper fishing next week; or maybe one more chance at the togs as the season is about over; or try one more time if the flounder pile up on the cedars.  Decisons, decisions ??? ???
