Hunter 2- Sunday eve may 4th report
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:58:01 PM »
Left the dock in Keyport around 3:30 pm. Anchored off of Union beach in around 15' of water. Using Bunker and Clams we caught one bluefish. We moved across the raritan to Staten Island and trolled for a while with no luck. We moved up the raritan off of the Raritan bridge and anchored in a channel crossing and had no luck. Around 8pm we moved back over to Staten Island off the Channel light and picked up 1 more Bluefish.  :P  Nobody seemed to be catching anything and we were not marking any fish on the depth
sounder.  I could not figure out where the fish went. :-\ :-\
I think the new moon tide had something to do with it. because it was do the next day and the reports from Sunday morning were good.
I'm going to try an overnighter Friday night from 11PM to 6am because I have another communion to attend Saturday.
Does anyone have some suggestions on good spots  ??? ???
 I'm coming out of Keyport..
  Thanks,  Eddie
