Raritan Bay Stripers 5/7
« on: May 07, 2008, 06:27:29 PM »
fishing partner Dave and I launched at Sayreville, had picked up a 1/2 bushel of clams and also someone left a pile of fresh bunker at the ramp dock,so we took a fair share.fishing by a little after 7 at rock pile off Ward Bend secondary channel.Dave caught 2 shorts and a bluefish,I managed to catch the only keeper just over 28 inches, picture of Dave holding it,also a couple of run offs we missed, had patience today, stayed anchored here thru the incoming, slack tide and the swing to the out going.1130 moved up to the 19 in the reach, nothing here plus getting a little windy and choppy, moved toward home made one more try and headed in at 2,While getting trailer Dave talking to some one at the ramp said they caught 3 nice ones in the Reach early on bunker and that was it.
of all liars among mankind the fisherman is most trustworthy.  William Sherwood Fox
