Does anyone know where I can rent a slip for the weekend?
Thanks
Rick

thats great.. what did they charge you for the weekend..

Since the owners of the slip can't sub lease there slips, the harbor will rent the slips of people who cancelled out of the season but still keep ownership of the slip, etc..  If I sold my boat,  I would still keep the slip.  The harbor will sub lease my slip on a weekend basis until I get back in.. Not a bad system. There are alot of people who aren't putting there boat in this season due to economy.

whs

Nick,
It's $2.75 per foot per night. Not a bad deal sell the same thine over and over. Let you pay for the year and then sell every day.

A lot of things are cheaper then a gallon of gas these days. Don't worry it will all get there. I filled my oil tank at home yesterday. 85 gallons for $357.00. It's like money in the bank, who knows what it will be come winter. I am betting it will go up.

I think I'm 248!?.... Last year I didn't sit in my spot once... I parked into a spot one sunday and came back on wed. to find my boat full of water. I forgot to pull the plug and someone filled up my boat with water. the batteries were dead from the bilge going off and I had water 1 -1/2 foot deep in the cabin.  It did not rain at all. It could have been an accident, maybe someone threw the hose over my gunnel and then forgot it. Who knows.  The bottom line is to get the sailboats out and reinforce the spots......Sorry to vent....

I'm in 315 by Tow Boat. Never had a problem.  Sounds like a day tripper did you in.  Hard to believe they would have done it on purpose.  At least it was not saltwater which would have been a real disaster. Last week they were working on the boats around me and I hope to get the boat down this Friday.
