Great Bay 5/22/08
« on: May 22, 2008, 09:19:41 PM »
My friend Jerry invited me on his boat to do some back bay striper fishing today.  Nice day on the water until the wind kicked up hard and chased us off!

Hooked up with four shorty stripers up to 26" and one small blue on bucktails and swim shads.

For lunch we stopped off at Stewart's for a burger.  While we were there I got to check out Capt. Mike's boat.  Nice ride Mike!  Hopefully I'll get out with you guys one of these days!  ;D

Mike,

He has a 16' aluminum.  So we launch at an opening off of Seven Bridges Road. I'm not all that familiar with the area, but Jerry knows it like the back of his hand.  We caught all of our fish in the creeks (but I don't know their names).  I know we fished by the Stink House and the Fish Factory for a bit, but didn't have any luck near either of those.

BTW, Monday 6/2 is looking pretty good for me so far!  ;D

Good job Bob,

Yep nothing like a Stewart's Root Beer and a couple of chili cheese dogs with the works after a day of fishing.  Thee is one in Toms river just before the bridge ti Seaside Park.

Now I'm hungry.
