Boat flipped over in RB
« on: May 23, 2008, 12:39:32 PM »
Just got a call from the captain of the Sea Hawk that a private boat flipped over in Raritan Bay. He was out jigging up blues pretty good when he saw a boat listing heavily in the distance. Got his anglers to reel up and headed over there while the boat flipped over spilling it's three onboard over. He was ready to assist, but an ACOE boat also showed up on the scene and got two of the guys in. The third was picked off the bobbing hull by a small CC. Coast Guard, Sea Tow, NJSP showed up as well.

Be careful out there guys slt

Good job by all involved.

Beginning of the season is when a lot of these things happen. Getting the boat in for the first time and not aware of a problem that developed during the lay up period.

slt to all who assisted in this incident.
